Milan’s Bicocca district reborn

Located on the vibrant Viale Sarca in Milan, Open 336 is a new office complex by Park. This project bridges past and future, with the terracotta colored fiber cement façade referencing the Bicocca district’s heritage and the extensive modular glazing giving the building a contemporary architectural edge. The building mirrors the area’s identity through its openness, establishing an ongoing visual dialogue with the neighborhood.

The large glazed lobby establishes a sense of continuity between the interior and exterior, underscored by the green walls at the entrance and the large terraces on the top floor and intermediate levels. In the work areas, this spatial fluidity translates into expansive open plan spaces conceived as a single, uninterrupted environment. By integrating structural elements into the façade, the floor plates are free of interior columns and, with regular fenestration, also benefit from optimal natural daylighting.

The design team specified Ceir products for the interior design of Open 336 to achieve an industrial esthetic with technical performance. The Monolama QR1 system made it possible to create volumes with clean, geometric lines while ensuring easy access to building systems. The product’s rectangular cell structure underscores the project’s rigor and integrates with strategies for acoustic and environmental comfort. The suspended ceiling, which uses the Delta suspension system, ensures maximum stability and precise alignment of components.
