Turning Showers into Hammams

We can all dedicate a small corner somewhere to relaxing, often in our own home. Even if your idea of relaxation is a hammam, you do not need a large space or dedicated spa area. Just a shower with a steam generator will do.

Specializing in Turkish baths, saunas, sensory showers, pools, tepidariums, and relaxation areas, Effe has developed a system that transforms most showers into a hammam. The system revolves around a high-performance steam generator – suitable for homes, hotels, and hospitality facilities – that creates a private wellness ritual in new constructions, renovations, or remodeling projects. The typical shower already meets the requirements for the conversion, such as adequate insulation and materials suitable for contact with water and steam.

Effe supplies a range of steam generator models to meet different design requirements and for different sizes of shower enclosure. Based on esthetic preferences and space constraints, the generator can be installed either inside or outside the enclosure. The inside units are especially compact and stylish, with a rational, minimalist design. Effe also offers a range of accessories for inside the enclosure, including a chromotherapy light, a backlit control panel, and seating.

Although most showers already have adequate insulation, Effe has developed a thermal insulation kit, as well as doors and glazing for improved comfort, believing that technology and wellness are inseparable.
