Against the backdrop of Iporanga Beach in São Paulo, Brisa House nestles among lush vegetation and the Atlantic Ocean. With a vertical structure that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape, this residence designed by FCstudio is not just a home but a wellness retreat that celebrates the bond between humans and nature.
With 1,500 sq. m of floor space, Brisa House overlooks the South Atlantic and its verdant surroundings, offering its residents spectacular 360-degree views. Composed of stacked levels, its vertical design defines a sequence of spaces that interact with the steeply sloping site. The façade is distinguished by extensive glazing and balconies that maximize visual contact with the surroundings, transforming every interior space into an extension of the landscape.

The interior spaces were designed precisely to emphasize this connection to the natural environment, integrating custom furnishings and design pieces that reference Brazilian cultural heritage and the local context. Tables and sideboards draw inspiration from nature. The Onda sideboard, for example, evokes the waves of Iporanga Beach, while – as its name suggests – the Libélula table references a dragonfly’s wings.
Each space was designed for occupant well-being, with the esthetic conveying both elegance and warmth. In the living room, a red marble wall adorned with a work by Brazilian artist Bechara conceals a plasma TV while framing the fireplace, strategically placed to add warmth and comfort, making the room ideal for entertaining and relaxing. Functioning as a living sculpture that changes with daylight, a tensile fabric light installation runs horizontally across the opposite wall. The neutral beige tones of the furnishings echo the natural timber ceiling, creating a relaxed, rejuvenating atmosphere, complemented by an outdoor infinity pool.

One of the residence’s signature features is the undulating ceiling in the bedrooms and the living area. Mirroring the ocean waves, the feature creates a sense of continuity throughout the project. The neutral and understated palette unifies the various rooms and picks up on the tones of the furnishings.
The rooftop was conceived as an ocean observatory, with seating oriented to capture panoramic views. A coffee table made from a ship’s propeller adds an original touch to the space along with a sense of peace and contemplation. Outside, the garden includes Hugo França’s sculpture Awapé, which stands on a weathering steel plinth designed by FCstudio. Its organic shapes blend with the surrounding forest, creating a continuum between art and nature.
At night, Brisa House transforms into a lantern that illuminates the landscape, creating an evocatively magical atmosphere.
