Born from the pursuit of a new sensitivity in how we design and experience outdoor spaces, Sense is the latest extra-light bioclimatic pergola from Pratic – and the lightest model the company, a leader in open-air sun shading systems, has produced to date. The result is a solution that is essentially rational and sustainable, yet also functional, designed to promote more informed, accessible and eco-friendly approaches to outdoor design.
In this quest, the first stage had to be to streamline the use of raw materials, making the pergola “lighter” in terms of both structure and environmental impact. Made of aluminum, the frame features clean lines and minimal volumes. For example, the uprights have a slim cross-section of just 9.8x14 cm.

Customization and technology are another two of Sense’s core features. Available in both freestanding and wall-mounted versions, the pergola comes in multiple sizes, including single modules up to 4x5.4 m, with a maximum height of 2.7 m. The structure can be further personalized with vertical drop blinds with integrated box housing, decorative drapes, integrated furnishings, dimmable LED lighting and Ray profiles. An extensive color palette is also available, with certified finishes resistant to UV rays, humidity and even salt exposure. The shades are elegant and varied, allowing for balanced integration into any surrounding environment. The roof section is made up of sun-shading louvers that rotate up to 110 degrees so sunlight, airflow and temperature throughout the day can be carefully controlled. The louvers can be operated remotely, via smartphone or voice control, or automatically thanks to weather sensors that can be set for sunlight, wind and rain. The bioclimatic technology regulates shade and air circulation while helping reduce the need for heating, cooling and artificial lighting by harnessing natural energy sources, namely the sun and wind. The goal is to ensure optimal comfort.
With Sense, Pratic has introduced a new side to outdoor living, unlocking fresh design options for open-air spaces.
