Aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability merge in the project by Vittorio Grassi Architects (VGA) for the new Milan headquarters of Itelyum, an Italian and international leader in the management and valorization of industrial waste and a pioneer of the circular economy.

Located on Via Oglio, inside a three-story building topped with a panoramic rooftop terrace, the new spaces represent a concrete example of how green design can contribute to employee well-being and environmental protection.

The main goal of VGA was to create work environments that enhance the employees' daily lives, promoting a balance between productivity and collaboration. With a flexible and dynamic layout, each space is designed to foster interpersonal relationships and adapt to various operational needs.

Reflecting the company’s identity, the project expresses Itelyum’s sustainability values through everything from materials to furniture choices. In line with the company’s logo, the color palette features green and blue tones—green to inspire creativity and connection with nature, and blue to promote calm and reflection.

Large perimeter windows ensure abundant natural light, while elements like phone booths and meeting pods provide acoustic comfort for workers. Break areas and the expansive sixth-floor terrace offer spaces for outdoor relaxation and socializing, contributing to a dynamic workplace environment in harmony with the outdoors.

«For Itelyum, we designed spaces that physically translate the company’s mission: regenerating value through recycling and the circular economy. Every design choice reflects this vision in perfect alignment between design and industrial identity. The spaces tell the story of what Itelyum is: an innovative, sustainable, and conscious company with strong consistency between brand and workplace».
