IInterior-exterior dynamics are key to any design. A building can be open to the outside or closed off if desired, with the inside-outside relationship determined by the choice and size of glazing. When a penthouse in the Roman neighbourhood of Parioli was revamped, the terrace was highlighted, optimising this open but secluded extension of the living areas. The four Essenza sliding doors, with white screen painting and low emission glass, provide just the transparency and openness needed between the living area and the terrace. The aluminium profile is fully concealed in the lift and slide model and, at 3.000x2.400 mm, the extensive glazing provides plentiful light. These are not merely functional elements, but part and parcel of the architecture, providing beauty and performance. The accessories, the mechanisms, the profiles and the seals offer perfect insulation, with excellent levels of wind resistance, air permeability and water tightness.
