An Apartment in Milan Designed with Color

Inside one of Milan’s most exclusive buildings, a penthouse comes to life that blends elegance and modernity. Designed by Studio Pelizzari, the project was conceived for a young entrepreneur with the goal of creating a residence that combines essential design with an intimate atmosphere, where every detail helps define balance and personality.

Attention to detail is expressed through a carefully curated color palette, in dialogue with custom-made furnishings designed by Studio Pelizzari. The result is a space where refined materials and sophisticated architectural solutions merge naturally, while the abundant natural light streaming through the full-height windows enhances the living areas.

The harmony of materials and colors

In the living area, featuring wide plank parquet flooring, a wall of bevelled grey lacquered wood conceals hidden storage and serves as the backdrop for the large TV screen. The sofas, in shades of dark green, orange, and fuchsia, are paired with brass details that add brightness and character.

At the center, the majestic acid-etched brass coffee table enhances the nuances of the velvet fabrics, creating a refined play of color and texture. The color palette favors neutral tones, with a prevalence of midnight blue and anthracite gray, enriched by vibrant accents in the fabrics and accessories.

Next to the living room, the kitchen opens onto the living area, creating a fluid dialogue between spaces. The centerpiece is a taupe-colored central island, surrounded by dark stools that match the tones of the dark wood parquet, giving the whole setting a sense of continuity and harmony.

A visual journey through an art-filled corridor

The heart of the apartment is the night hallway, conceived as an art gallery hosting a precious collection of signed Picasso lithographs, created during the preparatory work for Guernica. A careful study of color nuances and a calibrated lighting system enhance each artwork, transforming the passage into a striking visual experience.

The bedroom stands out for its elegant dark blue wall, interrupted by a black door that enhances its depth. The bed, in light beige tones, rests on a sand-colored rug, creating a harmonious contrast. Completing the space is a selection of paintings, sculptures, and lamps that enrich the room with personality and sophistication.
