The 60 series-connected PV cells are encapsulated between two sheets of EVA, ethylene vinyl acetate. These encapsulated cells are laminated between a 4mm thickness front sheet of safety glass and a back sheet of white Tedlar, a film with high insulating and mechanical properties.
The front glass sheet is clear and highly robust providing perfect protection against rain and hail. The purposely textured surface offers ideal sunlight distribution across the PV cells reducing on loss and eliminating inconvenient and unpleasant reflections.
