A Garden Inside and Outside the Home

The garden, with its shrubs and low bushes, flows into the home; in turn, the exteriors extend uninterrupted into the outdoors and surrounding greenery, transforming this
220-sq. m residence into a modern, functional oasis. Natural light and landscape definitely take center stage in this thoughtful, eco-conscious home project, but minimalist design, innovative technology and sleek, enveloping furnishings share some of the spotlight.
At the heart of this seamless harmony of architecture and nature, esthetics and functionality, is Oknoplast. Its key contribution? Blurring the boundaries between indoors and out. The first step was dematerializing the partitions, to create visual continuity, and reducing the potential architectural barriers. The result is an enjoyable sense of flow, enhanced by the home’s single-level layout. The living area – with kitchen and dining space – opens onto the garden through an HST Motion sliding glass door by Oknoplast. Its threshold effectively removes any visual obstacle, framing a wide, panoramic view. Given the generous size of the home, Oknoplast opted to install the Prismatic Evolution window as it is customizable in color and engineered for top-tier thermal insulation. Both the sliding glass doors and the fixed windows are designed to maximize natural light.
To regulate brightness and heat – especially in summer – Oknoplast added cable-guided exterior blinds with a minimalist profile. These have a lightweight yet durable aluminum structure, with slats that are adjustable, even remotely via a smart home system, and available in a wide range of colors, finishes and sizes.
For the entrance, the team chose the Groove aluminum door from the Tenvis line, which instantly conveys elegance and contemporary style. With thick, robust panels and excellent thermal performance, the door also delivers on security with its automatic locking system, three-point latching and reinforced plate to guard against break-ins.
Every design detail works in harmony to merge well-being, function and daily comfort with an unforced connection to the surrounding nature.
