Casa BFF
More than a simple corporate headquarters, Casa BFF is conceived as a civic hub – home to an art gallery, collections of modern and contemporary works, an auditorium, restaurants and cafés, and a gym that is even open to people outside the company. Designed by OBR – Open Building Research, the project forms part of the BFF banking group’s broader transformation of its work environments, here organized across 11 floors, including two underground levels, and conceived to foster a cohesive, collaborative community.
Targeting LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certifications, the project forms a key part of the ongoing regeneration of the Portello district. Within this framework, Omnitex – specialists in solar shading – was selected to bring its expertise to the project, supplying approximately 800 motorized roller blinds fitted with Silverscreen 3% fabric from the Kvadrat range, a material coated with aluminum particles in a patented process that combines refined esthetics with high performance.

The project uses a metal-coated fabric with a 3% openness factor, designed to control both light and heat. With solar reflectance of up to 82%, it helps reduce the building’s overall energy demand. Silverscreen reduces heat loss in winter while helping maintain cooler indoor conditions in summer.
The motorized roller system with custom cable was specifically designed based on the characteristics and functions of the building and each individual space, ensuring thermal and visual comfort, with ideal light levels, and the right connection between interior and exterior throughout the arch of the day.
