Designed by Lemay + Escobar Architecture DPC and ODA, this new luxury residential development in Hell’s Kitchen – cheek by jowl with the cultural richness of Broadway – speaks the language of downtown NYC.
Charlie West is a luxury 120-apartment residential complex in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. The design, the work of Andres Escobar, design principal of Lemay + Escobar Architecture DPC, in collaboration with ODA, draws its inspiration from the comfortable, understated spaces typical of boutique hotels.
The development boasts quality oak floors, marble and porcelain tiles, spacious kitchens, and bespoke finishes. The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views. Some apartments have private terraces overlooking either the courtyard or the city skyline.
The same elegant yet welcoming design language is found throughout the entire building, transforming the common areas into an extension of the apartments. Adding to the richness of the development, these comfortable communal spaces include a curated library with a charming fireplace, a landscaped inner courtyard, resort-style roof terraces, an indoor pool, a state-of-the-art gym, and a fun children’s playroom. An innovative bike storage room, which you can spot from the entrance through its frosted glass surrounds, invites residents to take a spin on the nearby Hudson River Greenway.
